The 2017 USBC School of Chambers (held at the Marriott Convention Center) included a two-day workshop series featuring the Millennial Entrepreneurs Redefined Program. With aspiring, young entrepreneurs attending our conference from the DMV region and beyond, we kicked-off the first workshop with a presentation by Wells Fargo on tips for the most effective business plan. The days followed with a series of presentations on legal incorporation and intellectual property protection, business finance, pitch prep and opportunities to scale in the tech sector. Participants walked away with expanded networks and tangible skills directly applicable to their ventures.
But the conference was not just about workshops! In order to help forge genuine connections that truly matter when building a business, participants also attended two networking receptions and could secure free to the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Overall, the USBC School of Chamber and Business Management and the Millennial Entrepreneurs Redefined: DC Program was a huge success! We look forward to connecting all participants in the months to come.
